Activities
WOCC, a 501(c)(3) organization, stands for Woodland Owners of Centre County, It is for forest and non-forest landowners who are interested in preserving or conserving forestland in a sustainable manner. WOCC is so named because a nucleus of charter members either lived or owned forestland in Centre County. The organization is open to anyone who supports its principles and programs.

Our Meetings

WOCC meetings are open to everyone. Topics cover a variety of subjects of interest to silvaphiles, from best practices in forest management to timber taxation to managing habitat for hunting and recreation.

WOCC also serves as a forum to promote Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) of Pennsylvania. SFI promotes best management practices in forests in order to assure continued flow of forest products while sustaining our rich forest resources for future generations. In addition WOCC serves as a vehicle for discussing land use policies in local, state, and national legislation.
